Hyde Park Neighborhood Council

HYDE PARK

NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL

About HPNC

Welcome, neighbors! The Hyde Park Neighborhood Council (HPNC) is committed to maintaining Hyde Park as a desirable neighborhood, educating and informing citizens, and providing an opportunity for participation in community affairs.

Hyde Park is one of 52 neighborhoods in Cincinnati, and HPNC is the City Council's designated community council representing the Hyde Park neighborhood. We are an all-volunteer council made up of Hyde Park residents who work with the City of Cincinnati and residents to solve problems, offer solutions, and celebrate Hyde Park for its uniqueness. Our council and members work across a variety of topics - zoning, community engagement, finance, environment, traffic and public safety, and communications.

Our goal is to be the voice for all of you and ensure Hyde Park continues to flourish as a community. We could use your help in achieving this goal.

Become a Member

Did you know you can become a member of the Hyde Park Neighborhood Council for a small $20 donation?

Your donation is used towards HPNC events, communications, and supporting key community partners and events, all which help our Hyde Park Community. You’ll receive an official Hyde Park Membership digital card which grants you access to perks at local businesses in Hyde Park.

As a 501c3 with limited funding sources, we appreciate and greatly benefit from annual dues and additional tax-deductible contributions.  Your contributions allow us to more effectively communicate with, represent, and support Hyde Park.  You can make a tax deductible contribution using the “Make A Donation” button on our Membership page, by bringing a check to our monthly meeting, or by mailing a check to HPNC, PO Box 8064, Cincinnati, OH 45208. We also accept cash and check at our monthly meetings.

Join Our Board

Any Hyde Park community member can volunteer on our committees or become a committee chair. We encourage you to get involved and we love welcoming new faces who are eager to share their talents and time with Hyde Park. Community members can volunteer on a committee or be a committee chair.

There are 15 elected members of the board of trustees who each serve 3-year terms. There are three staggered classes of 5 trustees each.  One class of trustees is elected each year at our annual meeting in June.  Vacancies are filled promptly and then formally voted on at the annual meeting. Contact us if interested!

See You at an Upcoming Meeting!

We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7pm., typically at Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church (2nd Floor, Little Theater, 1345 Grace Ave).

On the Monday prior to the meeting, we send an email to our distribution list that announces the meeting location and includes a link to the meeting packet.  The packet includes the agenda, officer and committee reports, minutes from the prior meeting, and other materials.

Our Annual Meeting is usually held in June, usually at a different and larger location, such as a school.  The agenda typically consists of:

  • Awards to students that attend school in Hyde Park or very close to Hyde Park
  • Awards to community members that have benefited Hyde Park – please email me with people you think should be considered
  • Guest presentations on topics of interest to Hyde Park (e.g., Wasson Way, Tri-State Trails)
  • Election of trustees, which is open to all current dues-paying members of HPNC
See you in the neighborhood!
